Friday was to be a rest day. However, we did not want to just totally lay around for fear our insufficiently conditioned muscles would stiffen and be useful for further climbing. With an eye for stretching our legs, and getting some views John Smith and I set out from the crowds of tourists at Lake Louise for this little jaunt. Amazingly, beyond the Lake Agnes teahouse the crowds disappeared totally. The rest of the way to the top and down the back side toward the Whyte-Niblock col we encountered only two other groups for a total of 5 people!
