Sudden snow showers plagued us all day but the temperature was right at or above freezing so it seldom stuck, just making for interesting ambience like with this Eastbound coal train approaching the station at

I took this photo of the East end of the Honaker Tunnel because of its rather odd shape. A train was only minutes away but a sudden snow squall almost obscured the shot. 2:28pm |

We're off the Clinch Valley, making for home when we find this westbound headed into the low Winter Sun past the CPLs at Oakvale, West Virginia 5:21pm |
