Along the H-Line

A spot made popular by another local railfan-photographer, I'd passed it (and him) many times but never stopped to photograph a train.  The angle is not bad and the shadows caused by the lower Autumn Sun can present a challenge but I think I'll use it more in the future.

I timed this one wrong with the shadows, but I like the compressed look of the double-stacks disappearing around the curve.

I'd heard radio chatter about 37Q with a "high-wide" but didn't think anything of it.  When I saw it at Boyce I almost passed entirely on a shot, only getting a long one between the poles.  But as it came across the Main Street crossing I saw something was unusual and lifted the camera again quickly...
