| This mountain is quickly becoming my nemesis. In three attempts I've come no closer than a mile from its summit. |

| My most recent attempt was on Friday the 13th of February of 1998 along with three friends from the Potomac Mountain Club. Our hope of reaching the summit wasn't too high when we saw the current weather conditions at Pinkham that morning -- winds West at 64 mph and gusts to 104. We managed to struggle to Lions Head where I could barely stand for a picture. Oh well, maybe I'll get up it someday (?) |
